Stephens Chapter DAR Welcomes New Members!

DAR membership offers the opportunity to participate in historical preservation, to gain access to a huge genealogical resource, to help promote national patriotism and education, and to meet and work with other women who take an active role in their community.

DAR members are mothers, professionals, educators, students, historians, genealogists, homemakers, and more!  With almost 3,000 chapters throughout the world, and with over 165,000 members, DAR is one of the largest women’s organizations in the world.

Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.
